What I do here
I own and publish HireLanz. I write and edit the guides, and I am responsible for what each tool calculates, the assumptions it uses and the reference data it shows. When a tool result or a guide is wrong, the responsibility to fix it is mine, and the Corrections Policy explains how to reach me.
HireLanz began as career and employment articles and now centres on tools: salary and offer calculators, job-description and CV tools, a career planner, and visa and relocation tools for people considering work abroad. The guides remain, and their job is to explain the rules and numbers the tools depend on.
What I am not
I am not an immigration lawyer, tax adviser or registered migration agent. Nothing on HireLanz is legal, immigration, tax or financial advice. Where a guide or tool touches visa rules, work authorisation or tax, I summarise what the responsible authority publishes and link to it, so you can check the rule yourself before you act.
I also do not present personal experience as evidence. What appears on this site comes from official sources, from calculations I set out openly, or from third-party data that is named and dated.
How I research
Every claim is ranked by the kind of source behind it. Rules, thresholds, fees and deadlines come from government agencies, immigration and tax authorities, official statistics offices and published legislation. Universities, research bodies and professional associations are used for context. Salary aggregators, job boards and industry surveys are used for market indicators only, and are always labelled as estimates. My own comparisons and interpretations are identified as mine and never presented as an official rule.
A legal, immigration or tax rule is stated on HireLanz only when I can trace it to an official source. If I cannot find it, the page says so instead of filling the gap with an assumption. The full standard is in the Editorial Policy.
How I build and check the tools
Before a tool goes live, and again after any change that could affect its results, I check its output against calculations done separately, by hand or in a spreadsheet, and against worked examples where an authority publishes them. Each tool page shows its method and assumptions. Where a tool displays reference data, the page names the source and the date the data was last checked. How Our Tools Work sets this out for all ten tools.
How I use AI
I use AI tools to help with parts of my workflow: organizing research notes, summarizing long official documents and editing for clarity. AI output is not published on its own authority. I check every fact, figure and rule against the underlying source, and I am the named person responsible for what is published. AI is not used to generate tool results when you use a tool; the tools run on fixed formulas and rules.
How I keep content current
Guides about rules and figures that change carry three dates: Published, Last updated and Last reviewed. A review date is recorded only on a day when I actually re-checked the claims against their sources. I do not change dates to make older pages look current.
Corrections
If you find an error in a guide or a tool, write to correction@hirelanz.com. I read these myself.
