Correction Policy
HireLanz publishes information about visa routes, work authorisation, hiring markets and salaries. This information changes, and we sometimes get things wrong. This page explains how to tell us, and what we do about it.
How to report an error

To help us act quickly, include:
- the URL of the article
- the sentence or figure you believe is wrong
- what you believe the correct information is
- a source, if you have one — an official government page is ideal
You do not need to provide a source to report a problem. If something looks wrong to you, tell us and we will check it.
How we handle reports
- Acknowledgement. We aim to reply within 3 to 5 working days.
- Verification. We check the disputed claim against the authority that issues the rule, or against the original source of the figure.
- Action. If the claim is wrong, we correct it. If it was right when written but the rule has since changed, we update it and record the change. If we find the claim is accurate, we reply and explain what we checked.
How corrections are shown
What we do depends on how much the error affected the meaning of the article.
Minor corrections
Typographical errors, broken links, formatting problems and wording that does not change meaning are fixed without a published note.
Substantive corrections
Where an error affected a fact, figure, rule, eligibility criterion or conclusion, we correct the article and add a dated correction note, so that readers who saw the earlier version can see what changed. For example:
Correction, 03-September 2026: This article previously stated an incorrect minimum salary threshold. The figure has been corrected against the official source and the surrounding explanation updated.
We do not quietly delete an article to make a substantive error disappear.
Updates that are not corrections
When a rule, fee or threshold changes after publication, the article was not wrong — it is out of date. In that case we update the content, change the Last updated date and note what changed.
Outdated visa, immigration and tax information
This category gets priority. If you tell us that a visa route, permit category, fee, salary threshold or tax rule described on HireLanz no longer matches the official position, we treat it as urgent, because readers may be about to act on it.
Where we cannot verify the current position quickly, we would rather flag the uncertainty in the article, or remove the specific claim, than leave an unverified rule in place.
Article dates
Time-sensitive articles show Published, Last updated and Last reviewed dates. A review date is recorded only on a day when the article’s claims were actually re-checked against their sources. We do not refresh dates to make older articles appear current.
